The Tree of Life Monastic Wellness Center, LLC is a brand new, non-profit, 501(c)3, wellness center located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida practicing monastic medicine. Monastic medicine is the implementation of Jesus' healing ministry in the contemporary world. Founded by Gerrick and Jill Busl, the Center is the first auxiliary clinic established in Florida by the Pastoral Medical Association (PMA). PMA clinics are chartered by the Sacred Medical Order of the Knights of HOPE (Hospitallers Order of Physicians and Ecclesiae)* (SMOKH), a world-wide organization that has been in existence since 1050 A.D. Membership in the Sacred Medical Order of the Knights of HOPE is by invitation only and involves an investiture ceremony which includes vows in which the candidate dedicates him/herself as a servant of Jesus the Christ, and the poor, promising to be faithful and loyal to the ideals of the community of faith.
Gerrick and Jill are licensed and chartered by the PMA to practice pastoral medicine as a part of their Christian religion. Jill is a Doctor of Natural Medicine, Pastoral (DNM-P) and a Licensed Professional Therapist, Pastoral (LPT-P). Gerrick is an Ordained Pastor, a Licensed Pastoral Therapist, Pastoral (LPT-P), a Licensed Profesional Counselor, Pastoral (LPC-P), and a Certified Pastoral Counselor (CPC).
They have established their medical mission in St.Lucie Co., one of the Florida counties hardest hit by both unemployment (estimated at 22%) and the housing down-turn (estimated 1 in 8 homes in foreclosure). Their vision is to serve the medical needs of this community by being a leader in natural health and wellness education and preventative care for all people, regardless of age, economic status, or spiritual condition. Their mission is to provide superior wellness education and preventative care so their patrons achieve exceptional healing in body, mind, and spirit.
